In its production of haircare appliances, VALERA can draw on experience that goes back 60 years. Before launching our own brand VALERA, Ligo Electric produced hairdryers for a wide variety of well-known brands. With our VALERA brand, Ligo Electric is active exclusively in the field of haircare – in all three sectors Professional Haircare, Personal Haircare and Hospitality. As such, when it comes to hair, VALERA has an extent of expertise than non-specialized brands of electrical appliances can not have.

Our in-house Research & Development team works with external specialists on many projects, for example, technicians from the aviation industry and the "Centro CIM (computer integrated manufacturing) della Svizzera Italiana".

We develop our products based on a sound scientific knowledge of hair. That's why we rely on working closely with hair specialists from university clinics, (e.g. Universitätsspital Zürich and Politecnico di Torino) and cosmetics manufacturers. From day one, VALERA has gained its particular expertise in professional hairstyling appliances from its close cooperation with the professional hairdressing industry; specialists in haircare and styling. In its product development, VALERA cooperates with renowned hairstylists and experts from hairdresser associations and participates in the biggest trade events and hair trade fairs.

VALERA is directly represented at the fairs Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna, Cosmoprof Asia Hong Kong and Cosmoprof North America. Our VALERA local wholesalers ensure our presence at trade fairs such as Hair & Beauty Frankfurt (Germany), Mondial Coiffeur Beauté Paris (France), Salon International London (UK), Top Hair Düsseldorf (Germany), CBS Chicago (US) and Intercharm Moscow (Russia).
